Eclipse Casino - re Texas Holdem poker

In less than 3 weeks we will be setting sail on the wonderful Eclipse:) and my DH has asked me if there are there any Texas Holdem touraments held in the ships Casino , if so how much would it cost to enter each game and how frequent do they hold the tournaments.

He does like the odd game but mainly loves watching other ppl play, any info would be much appreciated.

I don't know about the Eclipse but I did a tournament on the Solstice. All electronic with no dealer involved. It was $50 or $60 to buy in and they ran two tables. I actually won my table:D and split the winnings with the second place winner. Celebrity also took their cut!

On Equinox there were two tournaments per day on sea days. The buy in was $60 and it was eight people per game (with two games going at once). They were held on the electronic Poker Pro tables (i.e. no live dealer). It was fun, but the house takes a significantly larger cut than I am used to in land based tourneys. In the late evening there was $1/$2 No Limit cash games that ran into the early morning hours (also at the Poker Pro tables).

Hey, Gonzo - Conrycol - many thanks for your replies, good news for hubby!;) He really enjoys these tournaments therefore he will be made up when I tell him that there are 2 a day....:eek:

BTW what is the actual pot (prize) money after the house take their cut, assuming there are full tables when playing.
