AdrieneAGD Posted June 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2004 For those of you who have been on the Mariner and have visited the spa, what are some treatments you suggest I not miss? (Yes, I already know about the hard sell and am prepared to deal with it). TIA! m&m1 Posted June 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2004 I did not partake of any of the spa treatments because I did not budget for that, but I wanted to pass along a tip. If when you are in port you are able to get back to the ship early enough, you can book something at the spa and use a coupon that will be in your cabin the night before with your compass. They had coupons for discounted rates on many things for each day we were in port. Cruise addict in the making MOS June 6, 2004
BUTERCUP Posted June 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2004 ..if your still inerested in this... You should wait till the end of the week. Spa usually has specials toward the end...couples massage special ...C&A members coupon book has a discount too. I was on Mariner in Feb 04.. wanting a massage which of course was very pricey, but then at the end of the week there was a special for couples.. 1/2 hour massage and 1/2 hour float ( yu lie on this water bed type thing..) total of 1 hour... anyway...its a full 30 minutes massage each for two people for like 100 bucks.. which is about what yu would pay for one person. Its was worth it - felt very relaxing~ ENJOY. BUTERCUP
AdrieneAGD Posted June 14, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted June 14, 2004 Thanks for the info guys - luckily hubby has said not to worry about the price - so long as I don't break the bank. This is probably our last big vacation before we start having kids, so we want to enjoy ourselves. So, with that in mind, even if it was expensive, what was it any of you had in the spa that was definitely worth it? cruzntori Posted June 15, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 15, 2004 we DH and i were on mariner in Feb, we both experienced our first spa treatment ever. He did the hot stones. He was initially apprenhensive but he said that it will be the first thing he books when we get back on board any ship. I did a combo thing. I first got wrapped in seaweed then rinsed off then full body massage then reflexology. Mine lasted about 185 min and husband's was about 170 min. Each treatment was about $190 then with our Crown and Anchor Coupon it came down to about $170 then we each tipped $25. So we paid about $200 each. I really enjoied it but I would rather have it done at a spa at home and pay half. But the reason we cruise is to get away and pamper ourselves.
