mini-canadian Posted September 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2010 We are doing the 12 day Enchanment of the Seas on Dec 27 and would like to find our own transfers from the airport to the port. The transfers seem a little expensive, so we thought we could find something cheaper. There are 3 of us traveling. Does anyone have any ideas or know how we could find a different option? Thanks! mini-canadian Posted September 29, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted September 29, 2010 Welcome to CC and have a great cruise!:)http://www.baltimoretours.net/?event=offer.detail&offerId=742 Thanks, I did call them, but they told me the shuttle time is approx 1.5 to 2 hours of travel time. I think that may be a bit much. Has anyone taken a cab??? If so, how much was that?
montekat Posted September 29, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 29, 2010 If you are arriving a day ahead, you might consider one of the hotels that provides free transportation from the airport to the hotel or to the port in the morning. www.stay123.com or www.parksleepfly.com. 1.5 to 2 hours to the cruiseport from the airport is excessive. It's not that far.
mccljp Posted September 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2010 It may be 7 miles to the pier. Cabs pay a premium to work out of the airport, so the fare is a bit higher about $35-40 Car service is $
DanJ Posted September 29, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2010 I'm suspecting that, based on the mini-Canadian nickname, that the OP is flying in from somewhere in Canada. Air Canada has very limited service to BWI, and I suspect they are flying into Dulles or National rather than Baltimore directly. That might explain the 1.5 to 2 hour thing. Which airport are you flying to? BWI is closest and easiest. See: http://www.baltimoretours.net/?event=offer.detail&offerId=745 It would be easier and maybe cheaper to use transfers if you are flying into Dulles or DCA.
