grahamfairbank Posted October 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2010 Next week I'll be on the Carnival Sensation heading to Nassau - there is a 2 tank excursion - it includes gear... My question is, will they let me bring my own gear?
Dive Master Posted October 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2010 Next week I'll be on the Carnival Sensation heading to Nassau - there is a 2 tank excursion - it includes gear... My question is, will they let me bring my own gear? I can't imagine them not letting you use your gear as long as it is in good working order. I ALWAYS take my own gear. I know what I got and how it all functions.
grahamfairbank Posted October 3, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted October 3, 2010 Thanks, that's how I saw it too, just making someone didn't have a experience to the contrary....
The Flying Pirate Posted October 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2010 We always bring our own gear and it is never a problem. They might make you wear a snorkel vest if you don't bring your own, but we have brought our own scuba and snorkel gear all over the Caribbean and never had a problem. Most operators were grateful since we were low maintenance and could take care of ourselves allowing them to spend more time with the first timers. scubadiver888 Posted October 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 7, 2010 I have found all the excursions will drop $10 off the price if you are bringing your own gear. For $10 I usually book excursions with gear. This way if I have any trouble with my gear, I have a back up. But I have NEVER had any dive op complain about me bringing my own gear.
