Cruise Director on Fantasy?

Does anyone know who the cruise director is on the Fantasy......how are they......did you like them?......we are cruising on the Fantasy over halloween.

If it's still Risa, I thought she was just ok. I cruised the Fantasy in February so I don't know if she's still there. Risa was very pleasant, but I guess I like bigger personalities, and that just wasn't her. Also she was never really visible throughout the cruise. Just my opinion.

As with any CD, you will find some who love and some who dont...

 

I have cruised with Risa twice, and booked the last cruise when i learned she was the CD.

 

Risa is NOT an entertainer, singer, dancer or comedian. SHe is an administrator who works hard with her staff to provide well planned activities on board for all.

 

She also is known for going the extra mile to help her passengers.

 

On 13 cruises, I have NEVER seen ANY CD who really is out and about. But, I have seen Risa at on board activities and walking through the crowd before and after shows, etc.

 

Her story is amazing how she started out as a Cocktail waitress and worked her way up to being CD. SHe has been in every department on the ship.

That's what I would consider out and about. :rolleyes: I didn't experience that. That's not to say she didn't, but that was my experience on this particular sailing. I wouldn't NOT book a cruise if she was on the ship. I'm glad you had such a great experience with her and it sounds like she does have a wonderful story. But is she my favorite CD to date? No.

Just checked the cruise directors schedule on john healds site and rissa will be on the fantasy until the 30 th of october ,and stephanie meads will be the cruise director for the cruise beginning on the 30 th.She has been w/carnival since 2002.

We sailed Fantasy a couple of weeks ago, and I concur, Risa was "just ok".

We tend to enjoy the more "charismatic" personalities as CD's, but that criteria has never, and never will play a part in which cruise we select.
