Any favorite Ft Lauderdale hotels?

Hi .....Going on 3/12/05 Jewel cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. I am looking for a pre cruise hotel during spring break, and am getting stressed till I make air & flight arrangements!! Thanks for any information!!

We stay at the Sheraton by the airport. Nice clean hotel, but not close to anything. We always book it through Priceline and always get it for $50. We are staying there on March 19.

Hyatt Pier 66, got it on Priceline. Great pool, great location.

you didn't mention a price range.....we stayed at the marriott harbor beach....it was beautiful. we were there for 2 nights pre cruise.it is a bit pricey but soooo worth it.

We like the Hampton Airport North. Free shuttle to port and airport and breakfast. Also a supermarket next door to get those last minute water, sodas, etc.

We just stayed at the Marriott Marina really nice hotel, water taxi stops there also, 5 mins. to the port.

Hi there,

We stayed at the Radisson Bahia Mar on our last cruise and was very satisfied. The room was clean and neat with a small balcony overlooking the canal and ocean. They have a Deli and a nice restuarant (food was excellant and reasonable), will definitely use this one again.

We had previously used Pier 66 (3 times) and the last time was a disaster. The service was terrible and the price outrageous. Hope this helps you.

Thanks Jst, we have the Radisson booked for Dec. thru priceline. Can you give us any must dos like shopping or restuarants. Did you use the water taxie?

Embassy Suites is a great hotel and it includes breakfast and free shuttle service from the airport, and to the cruise terminal.

Just stayed at the Hyatt Pier 66 and loved it. Rooftop revolving restaurant, hot tubs, pools with waterfalls, water taxi stop and 5 mins from the pier. $95 on PL.

We stayed there near the airport which might also be next to the Hampton Inn. They had a free shuttle to pier and great breakfast buffet and pool too !! We took the shuttle to Maimi but paid extra for it.:D

:) I stayed at the Hollywood Beach Holiday Inn. It's right on the beach,big warm pool, tiki hut with drinks ,great restaurant.Had Prime Rib for $12.99 with salad potatoe and dessert! $16.00 cab fare from the airport.Took the shuttle to the pier for $10.00 and the driver stopped at the store so we could get waters and other last minute stuff.

I use to live on Hollywood beach, I simply loved it there, quiet, tucked away, hidden...

We stayed at the Best Western Rolling Hills in Ft. Lauderdale. We booked it on Overstock.com when they offered travel and got it for $69 a night. It was a lovely place, nice pool, great continental breakfast and friendly staff, and there were lots of restaurants around. We flew into FL and rented a car, sailed out of Miami and dropped the car at the Miami airport and took their free shuttle to the pier. It took about 45 min. to get to the pier. We didn't want to stay in Miami and this was a great place.

Thanks guys!!! You all gave me great ideas on where to look. I'm going to check them all out now. Guess now I just have to worry about airfare, looks like its going to be between $340-400 per person for the dates I need. Thats what I get for booking last minute!!
