Rockfordcruiser Posted October 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2010 Bring back 1 duty free. Or can bring back more just need to claim and pay the duty on them. You can bring back a bottle from an island and not have to pay duty on it if its made there. Can be claimed as souvenir. Also the ship has a duty free alcohol store. Hope this helps. If you goto US customs web site it will explain most of what you asked as well.
Jimnbigd Posted October 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2010 I have always heard it is 2 liters per person, except Texas residents is only one liter per person. (I have know idea why us Texans are punished.) Mexico of course has excellent Tequila. Mexican vanilla is also quite good (not part of the liquor limit). The ship itself also has pretty good duty-free prices in its liquor store. Remember -- you must smoke or toss any Cuban cigars before re-entering the USA. If you ever get to Jamaica, I like their flavored rums, especially the passion fruit rum.
