wrighka Posted February 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2005 We will be on a NativeWay tour in the am and will probably end up back at the pier afterwards. Is their shopping near the pier? Just want to pick up a few souvenirs - nothing expensive. Also, any fun bars near the pier? Thanks for your Help! Kim
volksgirl64 Posted February 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2005 Whoops! I originally posted about Jamaica! I have to remember which forum I'm in when I go to reply. There is tons of shopping right off the pier and the shops go on for almost ever! When we got to the pier, we waited to get our party together, and there was a little table with brochures on it. We picked some up and they had maps of the shopping, showing you where certain stores were. It really helped me find the Harley store. One place that's recommended that I didn't care for at all was the Craft Market. It was small and dark and didn't have a great selection. Not at all what I was expecting. Have fun! wrighka Posted February 18, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted February 18, 2005 I guess I should have mentioned that we'd like to eat near the pier also. I've seen a suggestion for The Wharf. Can anyone recommend anything? Thanks - Kim
aqua Posted February 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2005 There are lot of shops near the pier, however, there aren't many bargains there! If you are looking for inexpensive t-shirts, etc., buy them in other ports. They do have specialties like rum cake, but I have never really priced it.
