augusta78 Posted October 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2010 What kind of books are in the library? Are their any board games? I ask because I will have a 4 year old and 20 month old with us. Thanks!
MagnoliaFly Posted October 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2010 There are some board games in the card room (parcheesi, Jenga, checkers, etc.) but do not count on all the pieces to be in them. I know at least one color of parcheesi pieces were missing when we played in March. I recommend bringing your own set of cards or a travel board game if you have your heart set on playing a certain one. As far as the books go, there seem to be a normal selection of paperbacks and hardbacks. I don't remember offhand the authors though. They were kept locked most of the time except for library hours. MiamiSpartan Posted October 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2010 I would bring some books and board games on the ship for them just in case... We usually go shopping for books just prior to leaving, and we always bring Scrabble....(No kids in our house, but we act like 'em..!) :p
ferretface Posted October 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2010 Don't count on the library for books or games! I stopped multiple times during our 1st cruise and they were seldom open even during their posted hours. The book selection was very limited! But I'm an avid reader, so now bring several paperbacks and leave them for the library at the end of the cruise. More room for souvenirs :) I now have an iPad so will download multiple book to read on our balcony!
