Gypsea Posted October 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Recent POA sailors: Please tell me about the scheduled events for the week. Is there a 50's dance party, another theme or other planned events instead? I would like to be prepared (wardrobe wise) for the 11/20 sailing. thanks! spacepotatoes Posted October 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2010 There are only two that I can remember. One is the White Hot Party, that I think they do on all NCL ships. It's a big dance party with black lights, so bring something white to wear if you plan to attend that. The other is the luau in Kauai when the ship has its overnight there. Have a great time, Hawaii is incredible :D Edited to add that the luau is optional, you book it as an excursion. I can't remember offhand how much it costs, though, sorry! Gypsea Posted October 14, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Hmm. Okay. I figured this would be different from the Carib sailings. Thanks for your help. Rita
bcakes Posted October 14, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2010 I just wanted to add that even though there aren't a lot of theme events, there are certainly events to attend every night. (However, you may find some of them sparsly attended because of the time difference. I stayed on Oahu for several days before so I was acclimated to the time zone, but I was one of a few people who didn't head to bed right after the evening show.) spacepotatoes Posted October 14, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Bcakes makes a good point. This itinerary is very port intensive, and there is a significant time difference to deal with for most passengers. As a result, a lot of people end up missing some of the entertainment. It was definitely true for us. On several nights, we were just too tired after exploring the islands all day and crashed early. But as long as you have the energy for it, there is plenty of entertainment if that's what you are looking for.
