jchristie Posted October 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2010 What would be a good excursion for family of 5, Kids ages 12, 13, & 10?
wantocruisemore Posted October 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2010 I think alot depends on their interests. I loved ruins at that age and there are the ruins of Chichen Itza, Uxmal and others within distance. If you want beaches, there are those too. Check out the Autoprogresso link for their brochure below: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1262016 Also, if you check on the ship excursions for that port, that will give you some ideas too. hdawson Posted October 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2010 Besides this board, also checkout http://www.yucatantoday.com , an excellent visitor's guide. This port has alot of options but does need some research.
WilliamLawson Posted October 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2010 I think the kids would really enjoy a trip to Uxmal with a stop at a cenote for swimming on the way. That way you get your ruins and a really fun adventure-type swimming experience for them. They will talk about it for years to come.
jchristie Posted October 26, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted October 26, 2010 I think so too - my boys studied the Mayan culture and civilization last year and they are interested in that - thanks!
