Fishing in Whithorse

Any idea how the fishing is in Whitehorse. Will be there 8/22/11. If it is good any sugesstions on where to go, guided (who with), etc. I love to fish dont have to keep them, catch and release is good.

The fishing in the road-accessible lakes is okay but nothing to brag about - the pressure on them is just too high. The best fishing is by boat on the some of the larger nearby lakes, and that takes all day with a guide who knows where the fish are - I've been out with Rob at http://spiritnorth.yk.ca/ (my trip is described at http://www.explorenorth.com/articles/fishing_with_rob.html )

Anyone interested in going along on 8/22/11? There is a 2 person minimum so I have to find another interested party. Yukon, sounds like from your write up it has been too long since you went, time to do it again!!!!
