Need info on Atlantis- when visited from Carnival Triumph

Can anyone give me information on Atlantis when you visit it for the day from a Carnival Ship. Specifically, I will be visiting Atlantis from the Triumph in 2 weeks.

You can visit the property, check out the casino without paying for anything, but cant use their pools or beach. Or you can purchase a tour available through Carnival, I think they are a bit pricey. WE booked a room at Comfort Suites, Atlantis sister property, which provides you the access to Atlantis property, the dig, pools, slides, and beach, well worth it IMO. Keep in mind the food is expensive, have a good breakfast before your visit!

 

The property is beautiful, we really enjoyed our day at Atlantis, dont miss the not so lazy river!

We did the Atlantis last Christmas by booking a room at Comfort Suites, has the best day. Go over to the ports of call boards there is a ton of information there on the Atlantis.

So you went to Atlantis and stayed at Comfort Inn...from the Ship also? or just a trip to Artlantis itself?

Yes, you book a room, you dont actually stay there, but you pay for the night which provides you the priveledges to Atlantis for the day. From the ship we took a taxi to the Comfort Suites, (which we prebooked at their website) and we checked in and checked out at the same time, so we wouldnt have to come back prior to boarding the ship again. We never even saw the room. The waterpark closes at 5 I believe, so we just headed back to the ship then. Keep in mind, there are resort fees on top of room charge and taxes, I dont remember how much, but just wanted to warn you ahead of time.

 

The saved us a considerable amount of money, at the time day passes through Carnival were running about 125 pp and we paid total of 250 which allowed up to 4 pp. My friend booked the week before and got even a better price, her total for her family of 4 was only 175! Great deal!

If you don't mind paying for a breakfast when you can eat free on the ship, Atlantis has a VERY good breakfast buffet. In my opinion it beats the ship food hands down.

You can walk through their public area, visit their shops and the casino. We did this years before actually going there then walked over to the public beach around the corner from there. I am sorry, I cant find more pictures, but you can probably find some on webshots.com.
