Does anyone know if you can buy liquor after you land and before you collect your luggage, or is it only in the departing flights area??

The airport is pretty small, so arrivals and departures go through the same corridor. You will pass the shops on your way to the luggage area. :)

You can only buy liquor on the way out of PR at the duty free store at the airport.

I don't know if it is sold at any of the other stores in the airport.

It's the same company that sells at the pier. If you want to take some on the cruise, let them box most and stick a few in your carry on. It's a tax free store so not applicable against your DF allowance. It is only a weight problem flying.

The airport store is for outbound flights. You must have your boarding pass to buy liquor.

Thanks everyone - I thought their prices were pretty good last time we were there so I wanted to buy it before going to our hotel.

There's also a large Pueblo Grocer right after leaving the airport with an extensive selection of wine and spirits
