Spa on Princess Diamond

I would like to get the hot rock treatment at the spa sometime while I'm on the cruise. (next month). I've never had a massage! Has anyone out there had this and is it lovely? Is it hard to get reservations for such things and is it possible to have it done on a day when the ship is at port? I think there will be two days where I won't take my girls off the ship so we'll spend the day on-board, hopefully enjoying a quieter atmosphere :) I've read alot of posts in the past week that say the people who manage the spa push products and that makes me uncomfotable.
