Lauderdalegal Posted November 16, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2010 I'm traveling with a friend (brothers ex actually:)) on Allure. I love sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the serenity while she has only ever had inside cabins. We're booked in a D1, however many of the reviews say that D cabins are much smaller than other ships. My question is if an extra $1200 (all out of my pocket since I'm the cabin critic) worth it for a JS.
Mewissy Posted November 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2010 Definitely not worth it. The rooms are a little smaller, but still comfortable. The set up of the room is a little different (especially the bathroom) and they use the space well. Plus, with the balcony, you have a little extra room to roam around. Cruising89143 Posted November 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2010 Yes IMHO. If you're one that is going to use the cabin and balcony a lot then I would upgrade. Do keep in mind that there is a lot to do on the ship so you may not find yourself in the cabin as much as you think.
Jt4428 Posted November 16, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2010 We were in 2 connecting balcony rooms on Oasis 2 weeks ago. 2 in each room. The room is considerably more narrow than on the Freedom and Liberty. But it was sufficient for the 2 of us for the amount of time that we spent in the room.
