Hi,

I am sailing soon. I am going by myself for work(seminar at sea). I really want to do this but the Cruise Line charges 96.00 and Marvin is much cheaper, Is it really safe for me, by myself, (32 year old female) to do this with his compnay or just pay the extra money for the security of it?

Any opinions greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

I would have asked the same question if I were going alone, but now that I have been I would not hesitate going by myself. Keep in mind that you will not be by yourself with the guide. They wouldn't run the tour with just one person. I would email Marvin with your concerns and possible ask if there are any other reservations for that day. Maybe you can make contact with another person(s) on your same tour. I would definately not tour the city by myself, but the tourist area where the tenders drop you off is very safe.

I would not hesitate to do this with this tour group, even as a single. If you are outgoing, simply ask one the people in your group to make sure your "not left behind" as you are going this one single. We met a great group of people. Also alot of cruise critic people use Marvin's. Go on roll call for your cruise and mention that you want to do this tour. Someone may already be doing it and invite you along OR you may start something for all those people who can't get their cruise mates to come along - (aka party poopers)! It is an awesome adventure - go.

We did the cave tubing a few months ago, It was the highlight of the cruise! We went with a group that was very friendly and the guides where great............go and have fun, and I wouldn't worry about being solo, you'll meet new people and have a blast

Cruise around the other posts, you will most likely will find others from your boat. What is soon?Im on the Valor leaving May 1st and this is a stop for us. We have a thread under roll call, go there and see if someone has started one for your group. I feel like I already know many of my fellow cruisers and we are grouping up to get better discounts with the private tours. I say go for it, someone will befriend you and make sure you are safe and have a good time, who knows you may meet a good friend for life.

On Marvin every review I have read is fantastic, Im sure he will take good care of you.
