patrioticgirl Posted February 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2005 We are scheduled to be in port in the Cayman Islands on Easter Sunday. Does anyone know if the shops and restaurants will be open .... or if services such as busses and taxis will be effected?
Janett Posted February 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2005 Shops are closed on "normal" Sundays but some do open when cruise ships are in port. It may be the same for Easter Sunday. Most Restaurants are likely to be open. Regular "bus" service will probably not be running but there should be taxis available.
PaulaJK Posted March 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2005 I have been in GCM for many Easter weeks. They are a religious island and no live music is permitted to be played on Sundays or holy days [in this case, Good Friday]. Most shops are closed on Sundays anyway and I would prepare for this, adding extra expectations due to its being Easter.
