Private tour when tendering

We will be tendering in Belize. We wanted to book a independant tour like Island Marketing.

How does it work when we are tendering?

Wouldn't want to miss our excursion :o

You can do as stated in the post above, or if your excursion is early, you can simply get an early tender ticket. The cruise lines (all of them) want you to book with them and they like to scare people into thinking that only excursions booked with them can get off the ship first. This is not true. I have taken over 30 cruises, planned private excursions on all of them and have had no difficulty getting a tender ticket when I needed one. I have had a couple of occasions where I have been told I must wait, but did not accept that and went to guest services or a supervisor. No problem getting an early tender. Just showed them my tour email listing the meeting time. I always did this in advance of the port, and did not wait till the last minute to find out where to go and who to see if I have any problems.

Have fun!

Amy
