Maho Beach - how long and what else?

Hey there,

will be there at the 26th of Dec. Maho Beach is a definite must-see for airplane enthusiasts like us, so we are wondering when and how long to stay there. Any chance to get some ETA for the big planes yet? Does it make sense to stay there the whole day? When is the best time to go there, is there enough time for doing something else beforehand or afterwards? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Edit:

Got from 7am to 5pm.

So say we get to Maho at 1 or 2 pm - is there anything you can recommend for the few hours before? Hanging out in Philipsburg?

Phillipsburg will be quiet on a Sunday morning and normally I would suggest going to Mullet Bay before heading to Maho but it can get pretty busy with the residents on Sundays. I suppose if you get to Mullet in the Morning say 9:30-10 it should not be too busy and then head over to Maho say 12:30-1pm it should be fine. You can even walk the distance in 10 minutes or so between these two beaches and there are restaurants in the Maho entertainment area to have lunch at or you could wait until you get to the beach to grab some lunch.

Hi, here are the sheduled arrivals for the 26th after 13:00.

13:20 KLM/Boeing747 - 14:19 US/Boeing757 - 14:20 Corsair/Boeing747 - 14:30 AA/ATR72 - 14:45 US/Boeing757 - 14:50 AF/Boeing747

We are doing a Snuba tour with BlueBubbles, 08:30-11:30, after that there is time to stroll along the board walk and take a cab to Maho.
