Can anyone who has done this excursion provide some guidelines for tipping? Is the captain of the boat the owner of the company? I've read that tips are not expected when the tour guide (or boat captain in this case) is the owner. But if that's not the case, or inaccurate information, I definitely want to be sure to tip generously. Just trying to plan for all of our expenses. Thanks!

Hope this response is not too late, we did Silver Moon 2 yrs ago and we did tip generously. It was greatly appreciated by the crew. It was a great day, be sure to bring the sunscreen, I got a nasty sun burn and I don't usually burn that easily

As far as tipping, I don't bother to find out whether or not the captain is the owner (but on our excursion, he definitely was not). For starters, they all have crew on board, anyway.
