LS78 Posted December 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2010 Hi All, We are off on our first cruise in Feb and would like to visit the baths. Does anyone know if the ferry there can get rough? On the P&O trip theres a statement about it possibly being a rough crossing. We are both a bit worried about cruising and sea conditions and not sure want to do the baths if it really does get choppy  Thanks Laura

It's not a "rough" crossing but the middle part of the crossing does have some wave action (we noticed it for about 10 minutes of the crossing). Our friend who travels with us has some balance issues - so she just made sure that she was seated for the choppy bit. None of us felt ill or anything like that. As for the Baths themselves: If the sea is rough, I don't recommend swimming at the two beaches BUT going through The Baths is always fine because the water in them is only about knee deep and you are protected from the ocean by the rocks themselves.
