travlingrlclt Posted December 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2010 So you are assigned a show time when we made reservations. They only had one slot left (5pm). Do they check something before you go into the auditorium or could I just go to the 8pm show and no one care? Or is there a way to get it switched once on board? PopFla Posted December 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2010 Difficult to answer at this time. The "assigned show time" is something new that they're doing on the new ship. On the older (smaller) ships, it didn't matter at all. But with the larger passenger load on the new ships, and the limited capacity of the theater, it appears this is something they're going to try. Bottom line is that we probably won't know until the first batches of passengers report back with their experiences.
laparisienne Posted December 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 22, 2010 You can call DCL and ask to be put on the waiting list for the showtime that you want. As the pp said, the assigned showtimes are a new thing being implemented on the Dream, so no one really knows how strict they will be. I was told by a cast member that they will likely be checking your key card (which will have your showtime listed on it) for access to the theatre. If you just show up for the 8 o'clock show, you could be taking the seat of someone who has that showtime.
