gophercruiser159 Posted December 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2010 We are going on a Celebrity Cruise to Grand Cayman on a Monday. Any recommendations on an excursion or should we go it on our own? I'd like to rent a bicycle, visit the rum factory or see the turtles. Anything else worthwhile? We are both in our early 30's and active - thanks!
tak81288 Posted December 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2010 I didn't see a place to rent bikes in GC, but it is easy to do this island on your own without doing an excursion. When were there in May, I paid a taxi driver $20.00pp to visit Hell, the rum factory, 7 mile beach and the dolphin park..The turtle farm is right across the street from the dolphin park. I personally didn't go there, but some ppl that we were sharing a cab with did. If you decide to go the cab route and do an island tour, I would probably ask a few drivers how much they charge if you want to save a few bucks. Others I know did something similar for $10.00pp. When you get off your ship, there will be drivers EVERYWHERE offering to take you around. Maybe someone else on here will have info on bicycle rentals though. Enjoy!
