Ok, here is my attempt at uploading the pics to accompany my live reports from CB last week. Hopefully this will work. So glad I did not attempt to do upload from the Ship!

Day 0: If you look back at the "live" thread, you will recall that I left on one of a handful that left O'Hare on time. Here are pics from Day 0:

Snowy O'Hare:

Here is the very blue room at the San Juan Water and Beach Club followed by the very funhouse-like hallway:

...and finally beware of the nasty little stickers in the bushes at the beach, I brushed up against a bush and had dozens of these nasty little sharp things stuck to my clothes:

This process is going to take a while, so please bear with me. Would you like to see bigger pics, or is this size ok?

Day 1 (just a couple, I am going to post a tour of the ship later)

Day 2 - the Sea Day

As you will recall, I was sailing solo and the ship did not ever adjust to understand she was not on board. I did request several times to cancel the b-day stuff, but to no avail. The maitre d switched my table for me since I was solo, but the new assignment was still for 2.

(Is this size better, or are the smaller pics easier to navigate through?)

Oooh! This is exciting. Thanks cdamion. You have given us so much of your time already. Much appreciated. The pics are fine in any size as they can be enlarged when clicked by opening Flickr.

That is a very strange blue room . Looks like a tanning shop.

Ship's cabin and corridor looks just like home :D

Day 4 - Bonaire (Part 1)

Looking back, Bonaire was a crazy day, I started out with the Seacow snorkel excursion, came back to change, took a taxi tour of the island, then shopped a bit. Can't believe I crammed all that in on a 7-2pm port call. Here are the pics:

Day 4 - Bonaire (Part 3)

I wish my pictures could do it justice. The water was so many more different shades of blue than I have ever seen. I was also happy to get to see the flamingos.

Day 4 - Bonaire (Part 4 - rest of island)

The taxi tour of Bonaire was only $15 for 2 1/2 hours. We headed along the coast for a ways north, then inland to the town of Rincon, to a viewpoint, and back to the port.

Day 5 - Grenada (Part 1)

It was raining in spots as we pulled into port. We have now experienced a little downpour in each port we have been in, and some in the evenings while at sea. Grenada's port call was noon-7pm. I had no plans and ended up taking a taxi tour of the island for $20. Beware, while the tour is good, they really pack you tightly into the vans. I was lucky because I got to sit up front since I was alone.

This is the cocoa plant which chocolate is made from. They let us taste the cocoa fresh from the plant, which had an interesting, good sweet taste. They dry the beans for 2 weeks, then grate it to get a chocolate powder:

Day 5 Grenada (part 5)

Along the top of the hill in St. Georges is Church Street, where the churches are. Being so high up and unprotected, buildings along that street were hit hard by Hurricane Ivan, and remain damaged today.

I see you had Captain Marco Forteze. He was the captain on my first Princess cruise on the Sun Princess. We met again a few years later on the CB. He is a very approachable and visible captain and often attends the CC meet and greets and the Chef's Table cocktail hour in the galley.

I had the opportunity to meet him a couple of times. His approachability filters down to his officers who are also very friendly and approachable. Often the officers I met at the meet & greet, as well as the maitre d went out of their way to come talk to me throughout the cruise when they saw me. I appreciated that very much.
