February weather in Bahamas...

DH and I are sailing on the Fantasy Feb. 23 going to Nassau, Freeport and Key West. Can anyone tell us what the weather is usually like that time of year in the Bahamas. We are hoping for warm, warm weather. Thanks.

Last Feb it was rainy and chilly in port canaveral, very, very windy in Nassau with overcast skies and sunny and beautiful Freeport-our shortest stay..lol.

A few weeks ago it was sunny and a little windy in port canaveral, overcast then rain in Nassau and sunny and beautiful in Freeport...again our shortest stay..lol.

Next month when we go, I hope it's upper 70's-low 80's...:D.

But, it will probably be 60's..cuz that's the way my luck runs...:p

we went in 2006 and the bahamas were being hit with a cold front from the east cost of US.

 

The high was 52 degrees. (you can see that in the weather history)

I am worried about this as well as I talked DH into leaving from Fort Lauderdale vs. San Juan like we have the past 4 or 5 cruises. He is threatening me that the weather better be good or he'll never listen to my theories again (after 30 years he's just figuring this out? ;) )We are heading south but first stop is Half Moon Cay which is right south of the Bahamas.

We too are wanting to know the weather on and off of the ship for this time frame also since we will be leaving Jax on the 24th of Feb on the Fascination. I just don't want to under/over pack, but we will either way.

As you know whether is unpredictable especially this is winter. Fantasy and Fascination if it's cold outside the ship will be absolutely freezing.

 

No heat as the ship are made for caribbean.

 

Bring a mix of clothes
