Ventura - December 2011

Hi All

 

I am really excited about this - have wanted to travel aboard this ship for a couple of years now - since I first read about it really, but could never afford to............ but my parents have chosen to book this for themselves and my son (who will be 15) and myself. I couldnt thank them enough.

 

I am looking for like minded people that I can communicate until then, as my parents tend to go to bed around 10.30-11pm, which leaves me sat at the bar on my own, or in the Casino, lol.

 

I have travelled with P&O before, as have with Ocean Village, Thomson and Island Cruises.

You have lovely parents! Hope you have a wonderful cruise and I'm sure that you will find lots of folks to chat to on the cruise after your parents bedtime. I have found people are often more friendly on a cruise and will talk to you more.

I am going on the Azura in Dec 2011 and am looking forward to that. Lets just hope that we don't have the awful weather again in December that we had last month - we had our flight to LA and our cruise to Hawaii cancelled due to the chaos at heathrow so I am hoping that the same does not happen again!

Look on the bright side - it will be a great cruise!

We found Ventura to be the most friendly cruise we've ever had. Is there a roll call up for your cruise yet? If so, why not join it, if not why not start one? We made great friends at our CC meet and greet onboard, and hope to be sailing with some of them again this year on Azura.

 

@ HomelessBear, what a shame! We'll be on Azura late October/November Transatlantic. It would have been great to meet up. :) Hope you get luckier with the weather this time. :eek:

Great News, you wont be sitting in the bar on your own :D LOL

 

This will be our first cruise, planned around Nicolas 40th birthday on the 5th, Im hoping there will be quite a bit of sitting in the bar and casino LOL

Myself and hubby in our 30's plus our 2 boys who will be 15 and 9

 

Can't wait !

the kids clubs etc look fab and doubt we will see them much for the whole 2 weeks lol

 

to cheer myself up in depressing,dreary Jan I am planning our trips etc :D

 

a lot of the places we visited on a cruise in Feb 2009 but can't wait to see them all again!

Well I am not as young as you - but Ive been told I dont look my age - so maybe we can have the odd one or two drinks together. My son will be 15 by then, but when we went on Thomson Destiny 2 years ago, I only saw him the first night we were on board, after that - I rarely saw him, lol.

 

Maybe we can keep in touch?
