cannockfrodo Posted January 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2011 We walked there on NYD and it's easy to get to though might be a bit far for a 16 month toddler. It was locked when we arrived and tbh didn't look worth the $3 pp entry fee. Assuming you have a pushchair you could walk to the dolphin encounter takes about 20 mins you just have to be careful on the bits of road without pavements. Just leave the port turn left at Columbian Emeralds and follow your nose. You can just walk in through the shop (be confident) and watch the cruise punters play with the dolphins there is also a small aviary there. Because there's so many swimmers milling in and out you can easily walk straight in, there's no turnstile or anything. Go in the morning 10/11am before it gets too hot. Thought this might be a nice thing to do. any advice? TIA.:) It's okay. Maybe 3-4 acres. Has some paths and an open area. There were some chickens wandering around a few years ago - can't say they haven't been eaten by now. Don't recall any food/gift venue. Has a big fig tree and the usual assortment of palms, banana, etc. About 6-10 blocks from pier. I wouldn't go a great deal out of my way to get there.
