plyman69 Posted January 11, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2011 I am a user of CPAP and its not going to be much of an issue. Get a 15' indoor cord that is like this http://www.petraimages.com/500x500/JAS50361.jpg run the cord from the plug to behind the head of the bed and run both cords from the cpap machines to this plug. Each morning unplug the cord from the wall and wrap it up and tuck it under the bed. This way the room steward wont remove it from the room Now if you have other things you want to charge you will want to bring a surge protector and run the cord from that Have fun on the cruise
VictoryLover2 Posted January 11, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2011 I bring mine and a fan....pack it seperate.... the major problem is ....check to make sure you have a new extention cord. Power strips might be taken due to limited power in the cabin and a spark/fire hazzard.
Magic City Cruiser Posted January 11, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Thanks, guys...I thought Carnival was lenient for medical device needs? I'll keep your advice in mind!
jabberman_76366 Posted January 11, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 11, 2011 My wife uses a c-pap. Never had a problem with Carnival using it. Since we only have one, we just use the plug under the bed. The first year, we brought way to much water, lol! Hope you have a good cruise.

I told them you can get the special water in guest services, right? I think I remember that :D. I just thought I'd better ask as I know outlets and locations can be a problem... I checked with Carnival concerning my Jan. 2011 cruise on the Spirit, and was told to bring my own cord. They stated water was available on board for $3, I believe. Since all the ships water is distilled, you really don't have to bring any! An RPSGT (hopefully the ilk that did your sleep study).
