kammerer3209 Posted January 12, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2011 Right now we are in premium balcony 6277 on the Miracle. But the Ocean Suite is available for $10 more per person right now. We are booked early saver, so I know I would have to pay the $50 per person. Is it worth the $120, to you, to pay the $120 to upgrade? What would you do? Unknotted Posted January 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2011 Am I missing something? You don't pay penalties for upgrading, even with Early Saver.
teemsum Posted January 12, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2011 I was in Ocean Suite 7379 on the Dream last week. The whirlpool bath is very narrow & only for 1 person. The tub is quite high with no hand rail to get in or out. Wasn't worth it IMO. Cruisingly Yours

The way I read the early savers FAQ's was that any change was #$50 per person with early saver? Maybe I am missing something?
ktb2002 Posted January 12, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2011 They only charge you the penalty to change people, ships, or dates. They do not charge you the penalty to upgrade.

Irishlinny Posted January 13, 2011 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2011 It would be just like the 6258. So not worth the $20? Good to know! The room will be a little bigger than what you have. It has more closets, a separate dressing area, double sinks, full size shower/tub. The balcony will be a similar size. If any of that is important to you, go for it. Otherwise you might as well keep what you have. I enjoyed 6258 when we had it, but I've only had the normal size balcony cabins.
truchattycathy Posted January 13, 2011 #9 Share Posted January 13, 2011 You are not penalized with ES for upgrading. I do it all the time. You just pay the difference. You can also change rooms within the same category with no penalty. You just can't downgrade, or change cruises w/o a penalty.

I agree, we were on the dream in Oct. and had a suite but we had our DD (17) with us so the extra room was worth it, but for just two I wouldnt upgrade

photojunkieEMT Posted January 13, 2011 #12 Share Posted January 13, 2011 The way I read the early savers FAQ's was that any change was #$50 per person with early saver? Maybe I am missing something? My Mom and I were booked in a 2 person room. She then decided to take my nephew. There was no 3 person rooms left in that catagory. We were told we could move to a 3 person room as long as we upgraded in catagories. No extra charge for upgrading.
