Celebrity and St Lucia

When Celebrity includes St Lucia as a port, it docks in Castries.

Does the ship pass by the Pitons either on arrival or departure?

When we sailed on HAL, the ship included Soufriere as a port with a

half hour stop there (after docking for the day in Castries). In actuality,

the ship passed the Pitons slowly enough for passengers to take pictures etc.

but there were no departures. Does Celebrity do something similar ? I didn't

see anything about the Pitons in the port description, but I am hoping we get

another look at them.

I was just on the Summit sailing an itinerary that included St. Lucia. We did not sail by the Pitons. However, St. Lucia was the southernmost port on this itinerary, so there was no reason to do so (other than so see the Pitons). I would imagine that if a particular itinerary included ports south of St. Lucia (e.g. Grenada, Trinidad, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) then you _may_ sail by the southern end of St. Lucia and have a view of the Pitons.

Check your itinerary to see what time the ship is scheduled to leave, and then check what time the sun sets. Chances are that you will sail past the Pitons but they will be off in the distance and it will be pretty dark.
