Taxi Fare

I know fares are posted...assuming they take american dollars. Is that correct. Suggested tip? Thanks!

They accept the US dollar and the tip is included in the fare.

So...it won't be frowned upon if we pay the published fare and no additional tip?

I always throw in an additional $1 or $2 - I mean it wouldn't be the end of the world to me, but it may make a big difference in their lives. Who knows how poor they are? Sometimes a buck hear and there may help. I know that in Cozumel it was one man who arranged the cabs and set the price, so is the tip included? Don't know that's why I add a buck or two.
