PV beach day

I am curious, I know there is a lot of chatter about Krystal and Dreams, however, we are looking at going to Crowne Paradise, it's the closest to the port and we've stayed there on a land vacation. I'm wondering how crowded it may get with ship traffic due to it's proximity to the port?

Really crowded. However, it depends on where you ship has set up rights to. If it is there, it will be insanely crowded. Last time I went there, we walked to the beach and stayed less than an hour. That being said, it is a very family friendly beach so you don't get the bikini and wet t-shirt comps you find at some other beaches.

 

I would rent an umbrella though. It guarantees your spot, gets you some shade, and lets you have some sense of privacy. Anyway, have fun.

In the past we have walked to the Krystal, but this time am considering going to the Crown Paradise during our stop in PV. How much of a walk is it? Can you give directions?

Crown Paradise is the first resort you hit once you leave the pier area, 5 min walk from the ship.

Yeah, just kind of walk toward the direction you assume the beach is in and you can't miss it. We didn't have a map or directions and found it real fast.

Do they charge a day use fee? Or can you just walk on in and pay as you go. We actually stayed at this resort for a week once. It is very nice. I don't remember seeing any cruisers though.
