on the Nor. Crown ship - trip through Panama Canal to So. America-

It says side trip from Lima, Peru available to Manchu Pichu. Does anyone

know about this trip ? It seems Manchu Pichu is way too far inland to

be seen in the 11 hours that the ship is in port. Any info on this would be

appreciated. thanks

We took this cruise two years ago on the Dream. Not sure which direction you are going but, the side trip to Maccu Piccu involves leaving the ship for two nights and three days. You will fly to Cussco, spend the day there accomodating to the alltitude and doing some sightseeing. The next day you will take an early morning train to Maccu Piccu, spend the day and return to your Cussco hotel in the evening. On day three you will board a flight back to the ship. If you have the time and money, I would highly reccomend taking this trip as a pre or post cruise excursion. This is what we did (pre) and were not dissappointed. We were a group of 20 vs. a group of about 200 that went from the ship. Which ever you decide, this is truly a magnificant experience!!
