birthday on a cruise...

I'm taking my son and my mom on a cruise....and it just happens to be during her birthday. Now she is super shy and will be so embarrassed if I tell the waiters, but it would be so fun for my little 3 year old to see! Do they sing or perhaps bring a piece of cake with a candle in it or anything if it is a passengers birthday?

When I talked to someone at DCL about another matter, she asked if we were celebrating anything. I told her that we were basically celebrting all our birthdays, even though none were actually close to our sail date. She put it in and said we would get a cake for DD and I on our first night and on the last night one for DH.

DCL has always done a cake for B-day's and Anniversary's when we have celebrated. It may not be on the correct day however. Singing is hit or miss depending on your servers. I feel like they do a good job with the extra touches like celebrations.
