Embarkation Spa Volunteers

I read somewhere that at one time you could volunteer to be a Spa Model on embarkation day, receiving spa services in exchange for your willingness to be on display as touring passengers pass through the spa.

I read somewhere else that this is no longer being done, and the spa now uses ship staff members for the embarkation day Spa Models.

Has anyone had experience with this recently? Volunteered and been a Spa Model? Volunteered and been told the spa doesn’t use passenger models?

If you were a Spa Model, how was the experience? Don't know if it's something that would appeal to me, but it's the first time I've heard of this.
