I have started a journal for this18 day trip on RCIL's Independence of the Seas and it can be found here, http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?p=27672645#post27672645

I will be posting updates as and when I write them. I hope that you enjoy them.

My goodness, Cap'n, don't you ever stay home?:) I can't wait to see how you like the ship. Have you been on it before?

Salacia - it is not much warmer in the Med!

As I look out over the bay from my window here in Cannes, the temp is only 10 degrees C - about 50 F in your language - and though there is the typical Cote d'Azur wall-wall blue sky, the 40 mph wind makes it feel very cold - which is not normal for the season

But the forecast for Capn is poor, similar over next few days

Sounds very exciting Capn! Looking forward to reading your posts from the Med as I dig out from yet another snow storm. Have a wonderful voyage. Cheeers - S.
