Disney arranged airfare?

Looking for experiences with booking airfare through Disney. We booked our cruise last night and added the airfare. It's expensive but seems really convenient. Our concern is that we have no control over picking the flights. For those that have used it before, were your flights scheduled at good times? Did you have direct flights? Were there any issues or was all smooth sailing? :)

Thanks for sharing!

We have booked with airfare twice and it was smooth sailing.

We had booked ot leave the day before since we had to come from Oregon. Its an all day trip just to get to Florida. I believe we left quite early here and arrived about 7 p.m. on a friday, with one short layover, then they booked us the night at the Hyatt at the airport. In the morning we checked in for the cruise bus in the lobby of the hotel and we were off .

Now we did have to leave early because only 2 flights a day went where we needed to go. The other one was late afternoon and we would have arrived in the middle of the night.

The hotel was really nice and we enjoyed not having to rush to get somewhere upon arrival since we were tired. It was so easy to spend the night and then have check in right in the hotel the next day. They even got out luggage out of our room and delivered it on the ship for us.

The only downside to this was we could of booked it cheaper if we had wanted to. But we felt it was worth it to not have to worry aobut anything.:)

If you coming in the day of the cruise the great advantage to booking through Disney is, if your delayed a bit they will wait for you.

We have been on board more than once when we waited over an hour to pull out due to late arrival of someones plane that was booked through Disney.

Plus if your delayed too long where they cant wait any longer for you, they will send you to the first port to connect with the ship or book another cruise or refund you or send you to WDW for the week.

If you booked yourself and you run late, they will do nothing for you,not even hold the ship.

So it depend son how far your coming and the time of year where the weather may delay you?

If this is your first cruise with DCL I would let them to all the booking and just relax and knwo that DCL will take good care of you. No worries, no stress after all this is your vacation.:D
