I am sailing on the Elation and my cabin is 5 A. I was told it had a small port hole. In the Carnavial website it has a what apears to be a window. It that window what they consider a small port hole or could it be that it is smaller than what they show online.

you wont be seeing the water swwishing around. Not even on the Riveria deck. THe water is still a long way down before you even get to the passengers deck. There is a crew quarters a few decks below the Riveria deck and even they are above the oceans

I too am sailing on the Elation in a 5A. Mine is a cabin with 2 portholes. I believe the Carnival website photos are not of the actual cabins. It's just to give you an "idea" of what they might look like. Window and portholes are different, but they do not show any pictures of cabins with portholes. If the Elation is like the other 2 ships I've sailed, the portholes are up too high to actually see out, but they do at least let in some natural light.

Thanks for the "real" photos! Looks nothing like what you see on the website. But I think I would like the natural light, since that's how I'm used to waking up. :)
