Carnival Stingrays and Rum Point

We're looking at taking the Stingrays and Rum Point excursion with CCL when we go to GC later this month. We have a discount code, so it makes it cheaper than most private companies.

 

Has anyone done this excursion? How was it? I'd love to see pictures or a review if you have them.

 

Also, I read on someone else's review that they couldn't take their camera in the water with the stingrays on this tour? Is that true? I will be really bummed if I can't take pictures.

I've heard the snorkeling is actually pretty good if you swim out a little bit.

The snorkeling a bit off the shore is outstanding. The snorkeling around the point is OK.
