Hotel Bidding

Yes, that's a good point. I don't know whether they will charge you on the hotel's rate or priceline's. I think it should be on price-line's charge, but you never know with hotels. I'm staying at the Embassy Suites in Isle Verde, lookos like a beautiful hotel and they don't have a resort fee or hotel tarriff as some hotels call it. Good luck anyway!

I'm pretty sure that the Marriott has the resort tax, since it is a resort and I think I read something about that tax applying to the hotel. I have accepted that we will have to pay it, I just wonder if we will pay the resort tax on the amount of the bid accepted by Priceline or the regular rack rate for the room on the nights we stay there. Priceline has already charged us some taxes and fees, but has a disclaimer that says we are responsible for the resort taxes. I just wonder how much. I tried to call priceline, but they won't even answer questions until 30 days before we have our reservations. I just don't want to end up paying more in taxes than I did for the room.

I booked the Marriott Resort through Priceline too, and I also am wondering the same thing about the resort tax.

I have also read somewhere recently that the 10% Resort Tax is added to all of the charges to the Hotel Bill, not just the room but to Parking, Room Service, etc. I don't know if that is true but would like to get some clarification on this issue. I'm going to keep trying to find out the truth about PR's Resort Tax. Anyone with some knowledge please jump in any time.
