Alaskabound2011 Posted February 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2011 I am trying to decide between several cabins on the Spirit, cruising the Alaska inside passage in August. 1. There is an aft cabin (7203) extended balcony on the Veranda deck. I like that there are only cabins both above and below, and that the balcony is bigger. I am concerned that I won't see the land as much being in the back. 2. There are also several midship on the Panorama deck. They are also extended balcony, but I don't think the balcony is quite as big as the aft cabin. I am also concerned that since the Panorama deck is right underneath the Lido deck it might be loud. Which cabin would you choose? Thanks!
7toEleven Posted February 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2011 I wouldn't want to be under the Lido deck, ever. Have heard too many complaints. While I"m not an aft fan I would chose it on this trip. Your view would be awesome, more so than any other cabin. Have a great trip!
auburn77 Posted February 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2011 We only book aft balconies. I don't understand the "not seeing land". If you book a cabin on one side, the land view could be on the other side. With an aft balcony, you see both sides. Under the Lido deck may be a problem with any cabin. Alaskabound2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted February 14, 2011 For those of you who like aft cabins, if you could choose your deck, on the Spirit, would you choose Main, Upper or Empress? Will I have a better view on a higher deck? Right now, 3 of the 4 aft cabins are free, would you choose the one that is right in the middle? Thanks!
