Darthdaddy Posted February 15, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2011 Will be flying with mom using portable oxygen concentrator. Thanks to info from others on this board I have confirmed that the POC we are renting is acceptable to both AirTran and NCL. Airtran has a "Customer Ackmnowlegement Form" for those using a POC. This form indicates rather specific info that is supposed to be provided by a physician on his/her professional letterhead. Mom's doc scribbled a note on a RX pad. The note contains some, but not all, of the items required by AirTran. Specifically, the note says that mom needs supplemental O2 and is safe to fly. It does not include the specific flow rate of the unit. Here are my Q's: Do you have experience flying on AirTran with a POC? Has a note on a RX pad been accepted? Have you had a note that did not include the O2 flow rate accepted by AirTran? Thanks so much.
