Wedding on a cruise ship

Hi all! I'm new to this forum and new to cruising. I was just wondering if there's anyone out there who has gotten married on the cruise ships? How did it go?

And also, I will be going on the Splendor in Dec. 24 - Jan. 1. Just wondering what kind of special events will be going on the ship during the Christmas and New Years holiday?

I was married in Barbados while on a cruise using a wedding planner located there. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. :D Cruise Critic has a Wedding/Honeymoon cruise board you might find helpful:

My son was married on the Dream last June and they did a wonderful job! The quality and variety of the food at the reception was some of the best ever! They chose a casual theme, and we had a lot of people that boarded the ship for the wedding and reception and left before we sailed. It was an amazing week to be together as a family!

Lovely family photo. We had friends marry on CCL. It was a 2nd marriage for both and they wanted to blend their families-kids together in a fun manner.

My son got married on the Victory and they choose a formal theme. It was great. We as a family went on their honeymoon---my husband and I --his ex (son's bio Mom) and 13 other relatives. had a ball and was well planned by the wedding planning crew. We even took excursions together.
