Have you stayed Here? Questions for 2 Miami Hotels?

Has anyone stayed recently at (1) DoubleTree Grand Downtown Miami and/or (2) The WAVE Hotel on Ocean Drive in South Beach. Would like to hear how you liked/disliked these hotels. Yes I have already booked them for pre and post cruise stays. Your input is appreciated.

We stayed at the westgate Newport Beach resort on North Miami beach. Got one bedroom with kitchenette on Hotels.com for under $100. a night. It was an awsome place, on the beach nice pool, close to pier. I know those aren't the places you were asking about but I would highly recommend this place.

We're also booked at the Doubletree, but haven't seen any posts about this hotel. Has anyone every stayed here?

We are booked here too! May 14th.....

I have not heard Anything!! Oh well... it is for only one night, we are arriving at 11pm.. and leaving by 11am...

Have stayed at the Doubletree twice, both times thru Priceline. It was a very nice hotel for the price, one time they upgraded us to a suite. It's attached to the Marriott with shops between them for any last minute purchases. I would not walk very far, so if planning on going to Bay Side definately take a cab. South Beach requires a cab ride.

The hotel takes up a few floors in an apartment high rise. The pool area is very nice with a good view, I believe it's on the 10th floor.

The cookies at check in are very good too.
