Chicos would be a unique experience for the boys. You might spend part of your day on Los Muertos beach.

Or skip both and take the boys on the day Pirate ship to the south side of Banderas Bay for the day.

Enjoy!

Pirate Ship in PV???

Is the day time version better than night time??

Been to PV and the night time Pirate ship seem to be a Booze Cruise with some questionable behavior for little ones...

would there be enough time in port to do Los Muerta and Chicos paradise...

Want each port to offer something unique for boys... but definitly have one beach day... of sand castle building and body surfing....

Day time "Pirates on the Bay" is a family excursion. Ship goes to the south side of the bay where you spend the day doing beach activities. Do a google search for Marigalante Vallarta You are correct about the evening excursion. That is an adult themed booze cruise not suitable for children.

I have no idea what your time constraints are for Vallarta. You didn't indicate what ship you are sailing on. A lot will depend on how much time you spend at Chico's Paradise. I assume you know where it is and how long it will take you to get there and back.

Enjoy!

We are on the Carnival Spirit on the March 11th sailing. We booked the pirate excursion and it is something I think kids will enjoy.

  • 2 weeks later...

for a beach day i would consider stone island in maz. check for lots of info here on the boards. very easy to get to on your own. no need to book excursion. we went as a group of 14 (ages6-late 40's) lots to do on your own. boogie board, atv rental, horse riding, banana boat rides. beach is excellent for kids. very gradual slope, pure sand bottom. great, easy day for kida and adults. relaxing and laid back. check it out.

We went to Stone Island (Maz) and Mederno Beach (Cabo) a couple weeks ago. Easy to get to on your own. Rented an ATV on Stone Island then hung out at Victor's for beer and food. Went to the Mango Deck in Cabo. This is NOT a kid friendly place. Lots of craziness, some nudity. Our 2 year old didn't know the difference, but there would have been things to explain to older kids. We rented chairs and an umbrella, had some beers and nachos. Fun day!
