AmeriSuites-17th Street or Sleep Inn-Dania

I can book either of these 2 hotels @ about the same price. Sleep Inn $63 & AmeriSuites $69. Both offer airport & port shuttles, both offer complimentary breakfast....

We want to do a bit of precruising shopping.. bottle water, Pepsi & of course a bottle of something... to sneak on. We will not have a car. Which one should I book?

The Ameri on 17th has a Publix almost directly across the road it is like a 5min walk. It has quite a selection. It is also with in walking distance of several places for dinner. Outback steakhouse just over the parking area. Port is only 5 min away.

Just got back and I would suggest the Sleep Inn Suites. It new and very clean and fresh. That's not what I'm reading about Ameri Suites. The people that work at the hotel are all very nice. In the parking lot is a Walgreens and right accross the street is a Publix Market. There are also a couple of small resturants. We ate at the small I talian Resturant, the other is Chinese. The port shuttle you sign up for when you check in. We left right on time.

Hi...I can't find the Sleep Inn Suites for the 17th street area. It only lists 2 in ft lauderdale. None of them are near 17th street. Can you help with an address

DO NOT stay at the Amerisuites we have and left after one night even having paid for 3 nights. Do a search on this board and you will see why.

The Sleep Inn is located at 5th Ave and Sheridan. Go to the choicehotels.com web site and it will give you all the info and directions for the hotel. We booked on the website the prices are just as good, as any of the .com sites.

The breakfast at the Sleep Inn consist of juices, coffee, tea, cold cereal, hot oatmeal, make your own waffles, pancakes already made but not frozen, bagels, english muffins, breads for toast and conidments. I almost forgot fresh fruits. Did you need more before you board the ship?

Hey kiberkid, are you perhaps sailing on Legend November 26th? I sure hope so, no one seems to be going with us to see Panama Canal. I just booked at Comfort Inn/airport Cruise port (954) 922-1600. It's $6.00 per day to park at hotel and free shuttle to port. I pd. $76.49 (AAA) rate. Sounds good to me. Let me know if your going that date

Hi Dotcruiser. Yes we are sailingl on the Legend on Nov 27 & yes we are taking the Panama Canal Tour. We are traveling with my parents & they do not feel comfortable taking a private tour so we will be doing the Canival tour.

I have us booked in @ the Sleep Inn in Dania. It seems to have the best reviews of both the Amerisuites & the Days Inn.
