Barbados Organised tours or not

There is plenty to do there. Many tour companies offer full day / half day island tours (see other posts on the forum). Harrisons Caves (1 mile journey underground through caves, with stagmites, stactites, etc) are worth a look. We have also done the Atlantis Submarine attraction (not cheap but great and very different if you haven't done anything like that before). Mount Gay do tours around the rum distillery. Snorkelling is good on the west coast around Holetown area. Also in that area there are boat trips which include swimming with turtles. On the East Coast of the island there is a wildlife reserve with monkeys, tortoises, deer, etc. Loads of pretty beaches to explore.

Basically it all depends on what sort of thing you are interested in...peruse some of the threads here and you will get an idea, or check out Trip Advisor website for top 20 things to do in Barbados.
