Taking Food Ashore??

I've seen some posts that certain ports won't let you take food off the ship. Does anyone know how to find out if they let you take food off the ship in Belize? Or whether or not they'll check bags?

Our cave tubing tour includes a lunch at a local restaurant but I'm a little concerned because I have a sensitive stomach already and we'd like to save a little money by not having to buy more food in case the meal isn't large enough.

Any help for be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My husband and I just got back. Noone checked our bags going off but I wouldn't worry about the food. We went with Wet n Wild and the food was great. Chicken (not spicy), red beans and rice, and coleslaw. Just don't add the hot sauce!!!! My mouth is still burning. Big plate of food and was so good I wanted more.
