Ship Excursions vs Cozumel Watersports?

We are looking to book the stingray excursion and were looking into Cozumel Watersports vs RCCL's excursion. Both prices are the same, however, RCCL's only time available is 7am and CW has a 9am time. To get all of us together and be somewhere at 7 am is like "work", so we are really leaning towards the "non" ship excursion. Has anyone used either of these excursions? Any recommendations? Of course, RCCL's site discourages you from booking anyone other than them, saying the ship will leave you, etc. Advice please!?
